Dear Mom,
I got your postcard and the photo-copy of the newspaper article. I’ve been really busy since the day I called you, and today is the first chance I’ve had to sit down and write letters. This is #11 for today, and I still have 17 more to write! Amazing, isn’t it? It is my goal to finish ALL of these letters today. It’s only noon, so I should have a good chance at doing just that. (Unless the same thing happens today as last night. I got 6 letters and a package - WOW!)
Mrs. Shach included a Penn State shirt in her package. Super! And yes, Jeanne Fitzharris did send
an LSAT book, among other things. Lisa and Tom Siard send a box of pretzels - YUM! Matthew (from school) sent me the next 2 Star Trek novels. And Monica sent me a box of goodies too, to include a Christmas tree - I now have 3! And Paul and Nancy sent me some nuts. Haven’t heard from Frank yet - I’m waiting and watching for it though.
I hope you had a good time at the Festival of the Trees. I got another card from that - a Sandra Cassin, from Jenny Lind St.
We are having a company party tomorrow for Christmas. On Tuesday, we are having a party for the compound and a special dinner.
We are also supposed to have Midnight Mass at 11PM on 24 DEC. I am working the late (2AM-6AM) shift, so I should make it.
Well, I just wanted to check in Mom. As I said, I’ll try to call you again in January. I hope you had a nice holiday… it’ll be better next year when I’m there! Miss you Mom - I love you!!!
