Dear John:
Cannot tell you how happy I was to hear from you. Was beginning to think you had just gone away.
So many things have happened to me since I last wrote you. One thing you would be interested in is that I had my first crash- up on the 14th of last month at 11:55. Was not my fault so got no pilot error. Had a terribly sore head for a while. My neck and shoulders were also quite sore. Was in a “C” type aircraft. Was very glad to be sent out on a trip, after the X Rays showed I was OK without a recheck. Have had nothing but this type aircraft since my accident. I will admit I did not like taking off the first trip after my crack-up, but now I feel swell.

I saw both “Madame Curie” and “Fallen Sparrow” Thought they were exceptionally good.
Oh yes, we now have our uniforms. Had some photos taken in Rochester, Minn, the other day, also requested they make some pocket size pictures. Will send you one as soon as I receive them.
I have some friends in the ATA: - Peggy Lennox, F.P.P #6 Ratcliffe MR Leicester., Ann Wood, White Waltham, Maidenhead Berkshire Eng..- and several other American girls flying, with the RAF Anyway, of you have the opportunity of seeing them do so.
Am greatly disappointed today because I was unable to get to Spokane, Wash. Weather was, and is, stinko over the

Have been flying many types of aircraft but think I’m going to get stick or pursuit. They need pursuit pilots – so – I prefer twin engines or better.
I still wear your wings- They are my good luck charm. I think they are beautiful.
Gosh wish we could sit down tonight and talk. I have cut-out drinking, so I could probably stay out for an evening. I wish you could have been here when I crashed up in Canada. I needed to have someone around just to talk to and who understood the whole thing. As it was, strangers were making a fuss over you etc. and no-one intelligent, as far as flying is concerned to talk to

Hope you have gotten rid of you cold, although I kinda hate to see you sent to a warmer climate to do so.
John, take care of yourself. Shall write you a long letter when I return to the base – By the way, did you receive the 3-page type written letter which I sent to your old address?

P.S. If you meet Flight Lt. Stewart cannot remember his address, but you might come in contact with him, make yourself known. He has quite a number of operational hours and was sent to Saskatchewan, swift current, to teach the boys a few things.

Saw him in Montreal last week which enroute to England.
