Dear John
Cannot begin to tell you how happy I was to learn you are still alive and being treated well. All of the girls rejoiced when I told them you were safe.
Am still in Michigan. Claire is still with us. Vega is in California. Magda is in Missouri. Saw her and told her you had met friends of hers. Marge Ketcham resigned. Paula and Alice were killed.
Have some snapshots for you but don’t think I will be able to send them. Will inquire at the post office.
Received a lovely letter from your cabin mate telling me of your being missing know they are happy you ditched safely.
Was in Houston last month for one night. Stayed with the Fritz Family. They have had their home redecorated – new furniture and all. It looks very nice and attractive. George is quite a big boy now. He thinks you are wonderful. Received a letter from Mrs Fritz this am. She was overjoyed to learn you are O.K.
