Dear Rema,

Thanks for the note and especially thanks for being there when I needed support. What I really appreciated was the Ms. on the envelope. I love E. TX., but unfortunately it is still bigoted and chauvinistic. Maybe that’s my purpose in coming up here--something has to be done to raise consciousness here.

Why don’t you put my application in withdrawn for now so the funds can be used for someone who

needs it immediately. I may have to call on you later and it’s nice to know you’re there.
