The Gay Press Association is an international, professional, trade organization encompassing institutions and individuals that support the following purposes and objectives: To ensure and promote ethical journalistic standards among its members; to increase understanding and communication within the gay and lesbian community and with the community at large; to promote a healthy business environment; to foster the growth and development of the gay press/media; and to protect and defend the rights and integrity of the gay press/media.
