Dear John and Michael,

I am enclosing copies of the News issues so far in 1984, and for 1983. I never did get out the spring issues–the lobbying situation in the Texas legislature turned so nasty I was spending time on getting letters written and all, and never did do that issue.

I’m sorry to be so slow–Ken Waller is a good friend, and he said that you stopped by hisplace [sic] a few weeks ago. I hope he made it clear how we are trying to build up the Task Force, but right now have one or two more full-time tasks then there seems to be personnel to accomplish, and sometimes things get pushed aside for crisis situations when they shouldn't be–and then one hates so to get to that pile of unopened mail.

Anyway, thank you for your interest. I hope that you will want to get involved when you move to Texas–there’s so much to be done, and so many good results from what we are able to do.

There will be another New sometime in April–I’ll send you a copy.
