Jerry B. Stout, Editor
The Denton County Enterprise
[redacted]
Dear Mr. Stout,
I want to thank you for carrying the notice of the course “Being Gay in Contemporary America” in The Enterprise for February 11. However, I was appalled at the headline that went with it–”NTSU to offer course on being gay.” Although I am indeed a faculty member at NTSU, the course is being offered under the auspices of the night program of the First Unitarian Church in Dallas and was planned by the Gay Academic Union–North Texas, as the article correctly stated.
If the course is as successful as advance enrollment would seem to indicate, perhaps NTSU may wish to sponsor a similar course in the future. However, at present there is no connection, and I hope that the headline will not cause any difficulties for NTSU nor myself.
Very truly yours,
Edra Bogle
