Want to share your own visual story? Submit your work for exhibit consideration using the form below.

Important things to know:

  • Submitting your work does not guarantee it will be included in the exhibit
  • By submitting, you confirm that you own the rights to the work
  • If your work is approved, you agree to have it displayed publicly in our digital exhibit

Rights Information

When submitting the form, you will be asked to choose either a Creative Commons license for your work or an appropriate rights statement. You have the choice as to how you would like your work to be used/reused.

Creative Commons 

Submitters are encouraged to license their work under an open Creative Commons license to encourage re-use. A Creative Commons license is a grant of permission from the author to the public (or a segment of the public) to use portions of work otherwise protected by copyright without first obtaining permission from the author (within certain established guidelines).

Visit the Creative Commons License Chooser to select a license for your work. You will need the license deed URL for submission. 

The types of licenses available include:

  • CC BY: Work can be distributed, remixed, adapted, and built upon, including commercial use, so long as attribution is given to the creator.
  • CC BY-SA: Work can be distributed, remixed, adapted, and built upon, including commercial use, so long as attribution is given to the creator and the modified material is licensed under identical terms.
  • CC BY-NC: Work can be distributed, remixed, adapted, and built upon, for noncommercial purposes only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator.
  • CC BY-NC-SA: Work can be distributed, remixed, adapted, and built upon, for noncommercial purposes only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator and the modified material is licensed under identical terms.
  • CC BY-ND: Work can be copied and distributed in unadapted form only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator.
  • CC BY-NC-ND: Work can be copied and distributed in unadapted form for noncommercial purposes only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator.
